A process for the production of rigid vinyl chloride polymer sheeting at elevated temperature and in the presence of a slip agent added during the production of the sheeting, in which vinyl chloride polymers are preplasticized by calendering at temperatures of from 150 to about 190 degrees C and luvithermizing the resulting brittle sheeting at from 200 to 280 degrees C, characterized in that a slip agent is continuously applied during calendering at least to the calendar roll which is the last in the direction of product flow in the form of a thin, uniform layer over the whole length of the calender roll.
