Abstract (en)
The heat-polymerisable coating compositions, which may contain solvents, dyes, pigments and other customary coating composition ingredients, comprise mixtures of (A) 70-99% by weight of at least one polymerisable compound having at least one polymerisable, ethylenically unsaturated C-C double bond, (B) 1-30% by weight of at least one amino resin, and (C) 0.1-20% by weight, based on the sum total of (A) + (B), of a catalyst of the general formula <IMAGE> where R is lower alkyl or aryl or alkylene or a divalent aromatic radical, R1 is H or lower alkyl, Ar and Ar1 are identical or different, unsubstituted or alkyl-, alkoxy- or halogen-substituted aromatic radicals, and n is 1 or 2. The coating compositions have a long shelf life and on curing result in strongly adherent coatings, in particular on metals.

Die Erfindung betrifft in der Wärme polymerisierbare Überzugsmittel, die gegebenenfalls Lösungsmittel, Farbstoffe, Pigmente und andere übliche Lackhilfsmittel enthalten, aus Mischungen von (A) 70 - 99 Gew.-% mindestens einer polymerisierbaren Verbindung mit mindestens einer polymerisierbaren, äthylenisch ungesättigten C-C/Doppelbindung, (B) 1 - 30 Gew.-% mindestens eines Aminoplastharzes, und (C) 0,1 - 20 Gew.-% bezogen auf Summe aus (A) + (B) eines Katalysators der allgemeinen Formel <IMAGE> worin R = niedere Alkyl- oder Aryl- oder Alkylen- oder zweiwertige aromatische Reste, R1 = H oder niedere Alkylreste, Ar und Ar1 = gleiche oder verschiedene, gegebenenfalls Alkyl-, Alkoxy- oder Halogensubstituierte aromatische Reste, und n = 1 oder 2 bedeuten. Die Überzugsmittel besitzen eine gute Lagerstabilität und ergeben nach der Härtung, insbesondere auf Metallen, haftfeste Überzüge.
