[origin: ES471327A1] A device for producing a light signal corresponding to the refractive index of a fluid medium comprises an elongated light-conducting body consisting of an input section and an an output section connected to each other by an intermediate curved section adapted for immersion in said fluid. This curved section is provided with a plurality of curvatures arranged successively and bent alternately in opposite directions, whereby light passing by refraction into said fluid undergoes a notably greater variation, as a function of the refractive index of said fluid medium, than can be obtained with a curved section bent in a simple direction. A light signal is thus provided with a high sensitivity.

Dispositif pour élaborer un signal lumineux caractéristique de l'indice de réfraction d'un fluide comprenant un corps longiligne (10) conducteur de la lumière se composant d'une section d'entrée (15) et d'une section de sortie (16) raccordées l'une à l'autre par une section intermédiare (11) incurvée immergée dans ledit fluide. Ladite section intermédiaire incurvée (11) présente un profil comprenant une pluralité de courbures alternées (12,13) disposées les unes à la suite des autres et en sens inverse les unes des autres, ce qui permet l'obtention d'un signal lumineux présentant une sensibilité particulièrement importante. Utilisation du dispositif selon l'invention natamment comme réfractamètre ou indicateur de niveau.
