[origin: US4147604A] Photopolymerizable binders for printing inks, coatings and printing plates, based on olefinically unsaturated compounds, with or without a polymeric binder component, and containing a diaminobenzophenone compound as the photosensitizer, are improved in respect of their toxicity and shelf life if the diaminobenzophenone compound has the formula R1R2N-C6H4-CO-C6H4-NR3R4, where R1 and R3 are H(OR5)x radicals, R5 being alkylene of 2 or 3 carbon atoms and x being 1, 2 or 3, and R2 and R4 are each alkyl of 1 to 4 carbon atoms or are radicals of the type of R1 and R3.
