Electrolyte-stable aqueous solutions of polyurethane ionomers having an essentially linear molecular structure and containing both hydrophilic polyalkylene oxide/polyether chains and ionic groups, and a process for the preparation of the novel compounds by reacting diisocyanates with the conventional components used for the synthesis of polyurethanes containing groups which are reactive to isocyanate groups, in the presence of components which contain nonionic hydrophilic groups and components which contain ionic groups or groups which can be converted into ionic groups.

Elektrolytstabile wässrige Lösungen von Polyurethanionomeren mit im wesentlichen linearem Molekularaufbau, welche sowohl hydrophile Polyalkylenoxid-Polyätherketten als auch ionische Gruppen eingebaut enthalten, sowie ein Verfahren zur Herstellung der neuen Verbindungen durch Umsetzung von Diisocyanaten mit den üblichen Aufbaukomponenten für Polyurethane mit gegenüber Isocyanatgruppen reaktionsfähigen Gruppen unter Mitverwendung von nichtionische hydrophile Gruppen aufweisenden Aufbaukomponenten und von ionische Gruppen oder in ionische Gruppen überführbaren Gruppen aufweisenden Aufbaukomponenten.
