New compounds of the formula <IMAGE> (III) are produced by reacting <IMAGE> with <IMAGE>

Derivate der 2(2,2-Dihalogenvinyl)-3,3-dimethylcyclopropancarbonsäure der allgemeinen Formel <IMAGE> in welcher Hal unabhängig voneinander für Halogen steht und Y für ein C-Atom steht, das sowohl einfach als auch doppelt an Sauerstoff oder Schwefel und/oder Stickstoff gebunden ist, wobei mindestens eine Bindung durch Stickstoff besetzt ist, sind hergestellt. Sie werden erhalten, indem man eine Verbindung der allgemeinen Formel <IMAGE> in Gegenwart eines Verdünnungsmittels mit einer Base behandelt. Die Cyclopropancarbonsäurederivate der allgemeinen Formel I dienen als Zwischenprodukte zur Herstellung der ihnen zugrunde liegenden bekannten Cyclopropancarbonsäuren, die ihrerzeits Zwischenprodukte zur Herstellung bekannter Insektizide sind.
