Abstract (en)
A photographic printer or a copier for making a photographic duplicate is provided with a gravity-impelled transport apparatus for transferring and aligning an original in a printing station. In order to assure a faultless transfer and an accurate alignment of an original (P min ) in the printing station (34, 104) said transport apparatus (20) includes first and second guide surfaces (24 and 26) both inclined with respect to the horizontal, whereby gravitational forces on the one hand direct the face and one edge of the original (P min ) respectively into contact with the guide surfaces (24 and 26) and on the other hand induces the original (P min ) to move toward the printing station (34 and 104), thereby starting in the feed section (30) and passing a metering section (32), whereby sensing means (38, 39 and 56, 58 and 72, 74) as well as abutment means (40, 66 and 105, 108) regulate the passage of the original.
