[origin: ES471586A1] Process for the preparation of an aqueous suspension containing at least 65% by weight of calcium carbonate, in which process calcium carbonate is crystallized in a dilute aqueous medium, a wet concentrate of calcium carbonate is separated from the resulting dilute aqueous suspension of calcium carbonate and the said calcium carbonate concentrate is fluidized and homogenized in the presence of a dispersing agent. The calcium carbonate is crystallized in the presence of a water-soluble polyelectrolyte and the calcium carbonate concentrate is separated from the dilute suspension of calcium carbonate by essentially mechanical separating means.

L'invention a pour objet un procédé pour la préparation de suspensions aqueuses contenant au moins 65% en poids de carbonate de calcium. Suivant l'invention, on cristallise du carbonate de calcium en milieu aqueux dilué, en présence d'un polyélectrolyte hydrosoluble, on sépare de la suspension aqueuse diluée de carbonate de calcium résultante, un concentré humide de carbonate de calcium, en utilisant un moyen de séparation mécanique, et on fluidifie et homogénéise ledit concentré de carbonate de calcium en présence d'un agent dispersant. L'invention s'applique à la préparation de suspensions concentrées, stables de cristaux de carbonate de calcium, destinées à l'industrie papetière.
