[origin: US4229097A] The apparatus comprises a principal light source, condenser, lenses, object and image planes movable with respect to one another and an auxiliary light exposure source. The condenser is constituted by two thin stepped lenses between which is arranged a corrector screen for the variations in illumination in the image plane due to the inclination of the useful beam to the axis of the system. This screen operates perpendicularly to its surface, the constituent elements of the source, of the condenser and of the pupil of the lenses used being fixed with respect to one another and movable in a single unit relative to the document to be reproduced according to the focal length of said lens determining the size of the document. The apparatus is useful for the reproduction of transparent documents in black and white or in color.

Dispositif d'éclairage pour appareil de reproduction photographique de documents transparents à objectifs interchangeables. L'appareil comprend une source lumineuse principale, un condenseur, des objectifs, des plans objet et image mobiles l'un par rapport à l'autre et une source lumineuse d'exposition auxiliaire. Le condenseur est constitué de deux lentilles minces à échelons (20,21) entre lesquelles est disposé un écran (22) correcteur des variations d'éclairement dans le plan image dues à l'inclinaison du pinceau utile sur l'axe du système, cet écran travaillant perpendiculairement à sa surface, les éléments constitutifs de la source (10, 11, 12) du condenseur (20, 21) et de la pupille de l'objectif utilisé (23) étant fixes les uns par rapport aux autres et déplaçables d'un seul bloc relativement au document à reproduire (24) en fonction de la focale dudit objectif déterminant le format du document. Application à la reproduction de documents transparents en noir ou en couleurs.
