Phenol-dithiocarbaminsäureester mit der algemeinen Formel <IMAGE> worin n = 1 oder 2 R1 und R2 H oder R bedeuten und R, R3 und R4 zahlreiche Substituenten sein können, wirken, wenn Schmiermitteln zugesetzt schon in sehr geringen Mengen als Stabilisatoren gegen Oxydations- und Korrosionswirkung sowie als "Extreme Pressure" und "anti-wear-Additive".
