An apparatus for introducing tape cassettes or the like and enclosures into more particularly hinged boxes, with means for supplying the boxes, opening the same, supplying and introducing the cassettes and enclosures into the opened boxes and for closing and ejecting the filled boxes, and with a rotating head and with means on the periphery there of for retaining the boxes, characterised in that the means (3) for retaining the boxes retain the same tangentially to the periphery of the horizontally rotating head (1), the rotational axis of the cover (29) and base of the boxes (5) extending horizontally tangentially to the periphery of the rotating head (1) ; and the means (3) have, to open and close the boxes (5) as the head (1) rotates, facilities rotating with the head (1), viz. a flap (25), a cam follower (37), a cam lever (39), a pull rod (41), a suction device (43) and a pawl (45).
