Abstract (en)

1. Apparatus for identifying vehicles, which comprises reading stations which are mounted is stationary fashion along the traffic routes and response devices which are fixed on the vehicles, wherein the reading stations are mounted above the roadway with a direction of radiation extending vertically downwards or obliquely forwards in the direction of oncoming vehicles, and the response device is of flat form in which information carriers in the form of exchangeable code cards are fixed in the interior of the vehicle at a location which can easily be detected by the reading station from above or obliquely from in front, characterized in that the information content of the code cards can be electronically remote-controlled from the vehicle by applying control voltages.

Einrichtung zur Identifizierung von Fahrzeugen wobei Lesestellen (2) über der Fahrbahn, beispielweise an Durchfahrten (1) Brücken oder Lichtmasten, angebracht sind, deren Strahlungsrichtung senkrecht nach unten oder schräg nach vorn in Richtung der ankommenden Fahrzeuge (3) zur Fahrbahn hin vertäuft. Die Antwortgeräte (5) sind jeweils im Fahrzeuginnern an der Windschutzscheibe (4) (Frontscheibe) am Rückspiegel oder einem anderen, von oben bzw. von schräg vorn durch die Lesestelle gut erfassbaren Platz montiert. Die Einrichtung ist für Verkehrsleitsysteme und für die Verkehrserfassung verwendbar.
