Device for the control of traffic lights (22), an antenna (18) radiating in the direction of travel being provided on the vehicle (16) in addition to the transmitting/receiving antenna (17) radiating transversely to the direction of travel for position determination. The positioning devices of the vehicle are designed such that information items (request messages) to receiving devices of the traffic lights can be produced at the same time as, or during transmission pauses in, the measurement associated with position determination. The device can be used for traffic control systems. <IMAGE>

Einrichtung zur Steuerung einer Verkehrsampelanlage (22) wobei zusätzlich zu der für die Standortbestimmung vorhandenen, quer zur Fahrtrichtung strahlenden Sende-/Empfangsantenne (17) am Fahrzeug (16) eine in Fahrtrichtung strahlende Antenne (18) vorgesehen ist. Die Ortungseinrichtungen des Fahrzeuges sind so ausgebildet, dass gleichzeitig oder in Sendepausen der Messung zur Standortbestimmung Informationen (Aufforderungstelegramme) an Empfangseinrichtungen der Verkehrsampeln absetzbar sind. Die Einrichtung ist für Verkehrsleitsysteme verwendbar.
