Ammonium polyphosphates are used for preventing the evolution of nitrous gases in baths which consist essentially of acids and contain free nitric acid and also baths which are used for the surface treatment of metals.

Die vorliegende Erfindung betriffe die Verwendung von Ammoniumpolyphosphaten zur Verhinderung der Entwicklung nitroser Gase in Bädern, welche im wesentlichen aus Säuren bestehen und freie Salpetersäure enthalten sowie solche Bäder, die zur Oberflächenbehandlung von Metallen dienen.
