Supporting device for the lateral elastic support of the vehicle body of a rail vehicle in respect of its running gear, especially bogie, comprising a fixed sliding piece with a plane sliding face and resilient sliding piece (1) which is located opposite this and is designed as a leaf spring with a convex sliding face and which is mounted at its first longitudinal end pivotably about an axis (3) parallel to the plane sliding face and at its second longitudinal end displaceably parallel to the sliding face, characterised in that the articulated mounting of the first longitudinal end safeguards the resilient sliding pieces (1) against displacement in the two longitudinal directions, and in that the second longitudinal end is loaded parallel to the plane sliding face by frictional forces only.
