[origin: US4254411A] In a danger alarm system, such as a fire alarm system, the availability of the system is increased by decentralization of the system intelligence. For this purpose, the entire system is subdivided into small system modules which are fully functional in and of themselves. Each system module has connection installations for one or more alarm circuits or one or more subordinate system modules, a programmed control for interrogation and evaluation of alarm signals, as well as connections for display operation and registration elements. One of the system modules serves as the central station, as the remaining system modules are subordinate to the central station in one or more hierarchical levels.

Bei einer Gefahrenmeldeanlage wird die Verfügbarkeit der Anlage durch Dezentralisierung der Systemintelligenz erhöht. Dabei ist die gesamte Anlage in kleine, in sich voll funktionsfähige Systemblöcke (SYB) unterteilt, wobei jeder Systemblock (SYB) Anschalteeinrichtungen (E1, E2 ... En) für einen oder mehrere Melder (M) bzw. für einen oder mehrere untergeordnete Systemblöcke (SYB), eine programmierte Steuerung (PST) zur Abfrage und Auswertung der Meldersignale sowie Anschlüsse für Anzeige-, Bedien- und Registrierelemente besitzt. Einer der Systemblöcke (SYB1) dient als Zentrale (Z), während die übrigen Systemblöcke (SYB 2, SYB 3, SYB 4) dieser Zentrale in einer oder mehreren hierarchischen Ebenen (K1, K2) untergeordnet sind.
