Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0005118A2] 1. Polygonal construction panel (1) formed from a layer of a rigid material having a substantially constant thickness and also having a system of interconnected bosses (2, 3), with a hollow section and which serve to increase the rigidity thereof, whilst defining zones (4), the distribution density of the internal bosses (3) being substantially constant on the surface of the panel, characterized in that the system of interconnected bosses (2, 3) comprises peripheral bosses (2) formed along all the edges of the panel (1) and internal bosses (3) extending from the corners of the panel (1) or the vicinity of these corners (1a-d) in order to converge towards the interior of the panel (1), and in that no boss extends in a straight line between two random edges, or between two non-adjacent corners, or between a non-adjacent edge and corner of the panel whereby as a result of the structure, this panel is rigid, self-supporting and designed to withstand forces applied perpendicularly to its surface and for transmitting them to support points with which it is in contact at, or in the vicinity of its corners (1a-d).
