Die Erfindung betrifft die Verwendung von Fasern aus durch mindestens eine organische, polymere Verbindung modifiziertem Cellulosehydrat bei der Herstellung von wasserdampfaufnahmefähigen gebundenen Faservliesen allein oder im Gemisch mit synthetischen, natürlichen oder regenerierten Fasern. Das Modifizierungsmittel wird zweckmässig der Viskose oder einer damit vergleichbaren Stufe vor der Formgebung zur Faser zugesetzt und ist insbesondere ein Polysaccharid, ein Polysaccharidderivat oder ein Acryl- oder Methacrylpolymeres. Die Erfindung betrifft auch ein derart erzeugtes wasserdampfaufnahmefähiges gebundenes Faservlies.
