[origin: US4192036A] An arrangement for processing surfaces of bodies having irregular contours, in which a rotating body driven by a shaft guided in it, is held against the surface to be processed. A plurality of sections are held against the body, and the shell surface of the rotating body is the carrier for the means for processing the surface. The sections of the rotating body are eccentrically penetrated by a drive shaft on which drive wheels acting from the inside on one section apiece are arranged. At least one guide is easily tilted relative to the drive shaft and the section supported by it. The rotating body sections are rigid hollow cylinder sections, and the drive wheels are the friction wheels contacting the hollow cylinder sections. The drive wheels, furthermore, are guided in a recess on the inside of the hollow cylinder sections. The drive wheels may be pinions engaging internal gear rings associated with the hollow cylinder sections.

Un dispositif d'usinage de la surface de pieces a usiner presentant des contours irreguliers qui a la forme d'un corps rotatif place contre la surface a usiner, portant sur sa peripherie des outils d'usinage de la surface de la piece et divise en une pluralite de sections (21 ...), entrainees par un arbre commun (23). De maniere a ajuster individuellement les sections (21 ...) contre la surface a usiner, l'arbre (23) passe excentriquement au travers des sections (21 ...) et des roues d'entrainement (231) montees sur l'arbre (23) agissent interieurement sur chaque section individuellement, chaque section ayant au moins un guide (25) pouvant tourner facilement par rapport a l'arbre (23) et egalement par rapport a la section (21) sur laquelle il appuie, de sorte que les sections (21 ...) entrainees peuvent, si necessaire, etre poussees individuellement (fleche C) contre la force d'un ressort de rappel (241) et etre ajustees contre la surface a usiner.
