Light-signal equipment for traffic routes, where a communications cable used for emergency-call purposes and emergency-call pillars (NRS) situated in the course of the cable are utilized additionally, and which is remote-fed from central stations (ZB, ZU) via the communications cable, characterized in that several separately switchable signal lamps (SL) are arranged on each emergency-call pillar, the individual emergency-call pillars of a group-forming majority of locally succeeding emergency-call pillars are selectively controllable from a central station (ZB or ZU) by code signal (KS), and that the selective control of the emergency-call pillars releases the switching-on of one or several of their signal lamps in such a way that the signal lamps of the individual emergency-call pillars of a group are flashing in a type of flashing which is different from emergency-call pillar to emergency-call pillar.
