1. Energy production apparatus, comprising a free piston gas generator having a plurality of compression chambers and at least on drive cylinder (5, 6) as well as a gas turbine which receives the exhaust gas from said drive cylinder or cylinders, characterized in that the compression chambers (3a-3n) are distributed between a first fraction and a second fraction, in that the compression chambers (3a) of said first fraction are supplied with air by a supercharging compressor (20) through a first air cooler (22) and deliver hot compressed air which is at least partially fed to a turbine (27), in that the compression chambers (3n) belonging to said second fraction are supplied by a supercharging compressor through a second cooler (23) and feed the drive cylinder or drive cylinders (5, 6) through a third cooler (24).

L'installation de production d'énergie comprend un générateur de gaz à pistons libres alimentant une turbine à gaz (25). Certains des compartiments compresseurs (3a) du générateur sont alimentés en air par un compresseur rotatif (20) à travers un refroidisseur (22) qui alimente une turbine à air (27). Les autres compartiments compresseurs (3n) sont alimentés en air à travers un second refroidisseur (23) qui alimente les cylindres moteurs du générateur à travers un second refroidisseur (24).
