Circuit breaker in which the moving contact 16 is hinged by a pivot 31 to a moving fastening unit 30 which belongs to the fastening mechanism of the circuit breaker, and which has a shoulder 58 able to bear on a shoulder 56 of the moving contact 16 in order to bring about the opening of the latter. According to the invention, apart from its hinged connection with the moving contact 16 and the guiding by the corresponding pivot 31, the fastening unit 30 is free from its displacements in the box 10, no fixed stop being provided in the latter over the path which it sweeps on opening. Il s'agit d'un disjoncteur dans lequel le contact mobile 16 est articulé par un pivot 31 à un organe d'accrochage mobile 30 qui appartient au mécanisme d'accrochage du disjoncteur, et qui présente un épaulement 58 susceptible de venir porter sur un épaulement 56 du contact mobile 16 pour l'entraînement de celui-ci à l'ouverture. Suivant l'invention, abstraction faite de sa liaison d'articulation avec le contact mobile 16 et du guidage du pivot 31 correspondant, l'organe d'accrochage 30 est libre de ses déplacements dans le boîtier 10, aucune butée fixe n'étant prévue dans celui-ci sur le trajet qu'il balaie à l'ouverture. Application aux disjoncteurs.
