Abstract (en)
The process for preparing offset printing blankets by applying a layer of porous, elastic material to a fibrous support layer is based on the finding that, if a layer of an expandable polyvinyl chloride plastisol, which will expand and gel when heated, is applied to the support layer the result is a printing cloth which produces noncrisp images in particular on the first copies. This disadvantage is remedied by a thin coating which, applied to the free surface of the porous layer, prevents the adverse effect of the plasticiser in the porous layer on image reproduction

Das Verfahren zur Herstellung von für den Offsetdruck geeigneten Drucktüchern, die durch Auftragen einer Schicht aus einem porösen, elastischen Material auf eine aus Fasermaterial bestehende Trägerschicht erhalten werden, beruht auf der Erkenntnis, daß bei Aufbringen einer Schicht eines treibmittelhaltigen Polyvinylchloridplastisols, das in der Wärme expandiert und ausgeliert wird, auf die Trägerschicht, ein Drucktuch entsteht, das insbesondere bei den ersten Abzügen unscharfe Druckbilder ergibt. Dieser Nachteil wird durch einen dünnen Aufstrich behoben, der auf die freie Oberfläche der porösen Schicht aufgebracht, die nachteilige Wirkung des in der porösen Schicht enthaltenen Weichmachers auf die Wiedergabe des Druckbildes verhindert.
