Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0008985A2] Apparatus for the separation, by breakage, of strings (2) of tubular textile articles assembled with fragile threads, and, eventually, to turn inside out, beforehand, the said strings. The apparatus comprises a transport tube (1) for the string of articles (2), an aspirator (4) placed in a manner so as to create inside the tube (1) a depression intended to attract the said string (2), a boost pressure means (10) disposed so as to open a mobile shut off clapper, (7), which otherwise shuts the tube beyond the aspirator (4), and to cam y away the anterior end of the string (2) whilst the posterior end is still being sucked by the aspirator and a string separator (11) for unit articles placed at the end of the tube under the clapper whereas electric means are provided to drive the boost pressure means (10) in the course of the strings path and to stop the former when the said string of articles has reached the separator (11). This apparatus is in particular intended to separate in unit articles strings of stockings, of sweater sleeves, etc.
