Procede non polluant de carbonisation en continu de bois humide dans un four vertical prevoyant la reinjection dans une zone centrale du four des vapeurs pyroligneuses produites, conjointement avec de l'air chaud et, apres craquage desdites vapeurs sur le charbon en formation, l'evacuation des produits gazeux obtenus apres combustion dans un foyer annexe. Charbon de bois obtenu par ce procede.
