The device exhibits an electro-acoustic transducer (1) the vibrations of which are transferred to the human body. With the transducer (1), a cushion (2) containing liquid is attached via which the vibrations pass to the surface of the body. In this arrangement, the cushion adapts itself to the shape of the body or contours of clothing (3) and ensures a transmission with high efficiency. The device is used in conjunction with headphones in that it is applied to the human body in the area of the thorax in order to provide by this means the possibility of a sound perception by means of the body, which is lacking in the case of reproduction by headphones, which conveys a natural listening experience. <IMAGE>
Abstract (de)
Die Vorrichtung weist einen elektroakustischen Wandler (1) auf, dessen Schwingungen auf den menschlichen Körper übertragen werden. Am Wandler (1) ist ein Flüssigkeit enthaltendes Kissen (2) angebracht, über welches die Schwingungen an die Körperoberfläche gelangen. Das Kissen paßt sich dabei den Körperformen bzw. Kieiderkonturen (3) an und stellt eine Übertragung mit hohem Wirkungsgrad sicher. Die Vorrichtung wird zusammen mit Kopfhörern verwendet, indem sie im Bereich des Thorax auf den menschlichen Körper aufgelegt wird, um so die bei Kopfhörerwiedergabe fehlende Schallperzeption mittels des Körpers zu ermöglichen, was ein naturgetreues Hörerlebnis vermittelt.
