A liquid cleaning agent for hard surfaces based on aqueous solutions of surfactants, builders and organic polymers, characterized in that it contains as organic polymers from 0.05 to 0.5 % by weight and preferably from 0.08 to 0.4 % by weight of water-soluble polyethylene glycols having a molecular weight of from 300,000 to 4,000,000 and preferably from 500,000 to 1,000,000.
