[origin: WO7900237A1] In a tent with bearing arches and a canvas forming roof, the bearing arches are made up of several rigid arch elements, firmly interconnected by means of a rope attached to the feet of the corresponding bearing arch. To allow for elastic modification of the shape of the bearing arches under the influence of wind or snow loads and to set up the prestretched bearing arches by oscillation around the rope of the arch, the arch elements are connectedly articulated at their ends the articulation axis defined by the shape of the thrust ends extending perpendicularly to the arch plane. If several ropes (7) which are spaced one from the other and roughly perpendicularly to the arch plane prolonge the arch elements or are in contact along these arch elements, the rigidity versus the gap outside the arch plane can be adjusted on each side separately. The invention applies mainly to big tents, for example for fairs, sport or storage halls.

Dans une tente avec arcs portants et une toile formant toit, les arcs portants sont constitues d, un certain nombre d'elements d'arcs fixes, relies fixement entre eux au moyen d'une corde fixee aux pieds de l'arc portant correspondant. Pour permettre une modification elastique de la forme des arcs portants sous l'influence du vent ou des charges de neige et pour dresser les arcs portants pre-tendus par oscillation autour de la corde de l'arc, les elements d'arc sont relies a leurs extremites de maniere articulee, les axes d'articulation definis par la forme des extremites de poussee s'etendant perpendiculairement au plan de l'arc. Si plusieurs cordes (7), qui sont espacees l'une de l'autre et a peu pres perpendiculairement au plan de l'arc, prolongent les elements d'arc ou sont en contact avec ceux-ci sur leur longueur, on peut regler la rigidite contre l'ecartement hors du plan de l'arc de chaque cote separement. L'invention s'applique principalement a de grandes tentes, par exemple a des halles de fetes, de sport ou d'entreposage.
