Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0010037A1] 1. Hollow auger for drilling holes and casting concrete piles, composed of several separate members intended to be fixed end to end one after the other, comprising : - a hollow cylindrical body (1) provided on its periphery with a helical drilling blade (2), - a cutting point (3) at the lower end of the cylindrical hollow body (1), able to close off this end during drilling, said cutting point (3) being connected to the hollow cylindrical body (1) by means able to push the point (3) back in order to expose an opening at the lower end of the hollow cylindrical body (1) for the purpose of the injection of concrete and able to keep the point (3 integral with the hollow cylindrical body (1) when it is pushed back, during raising of the auger and - means for transmitting to the upper part of the auger an indication of the pressure exerted on the point (3) during the injection of concrete, characterized by the fact that the point is connected to one of the members of a piston-cylinder arrangement (9, 10) located at the drilling end of the auger, the other member of the arrangement being connected to the hollow cylindrical body (1) and hydraulic pipes (6, 7, 39) being provided inside the hollow cylindrical member (1) in order to supply oil to the cylinder in order to exert a thrust on the point (3) and to indicate the pressure exerted on the point (3).
