[origin: WO7900597A1] Case-shift mechanism for a typewriter having a carrier supporting a printing head, in which the shift order is given to the carrier by two different interposing members (7, 14), one being in acting position hile the other is in the idle position. The inherent frictions of this type of mechanism are eliminated by the following features. A lever (2, 28) controls each interposing member (7, 14) and connects it to driving means (20) which put it in the operating position. A stirrup-shaped pivoting member (23) has two arms, one of them making up lever (28) controlling a first interposing member (14), the other being driven by the second interposing member (7), the latter being normally controlled by a lever (2) associated with a key of the keyboard.

Mecanisme de transposition de clavier pour machine a ecrire presentant un trainard porteur d'une tete d'impression et dans laquelle l'ordre de transposition est donne au trainard par deux interposeurs (7, 14) distincts, dont l'un est en position active lorsque l'autre est en position inactive. Les frottements inherents aux mecanismes de ce genre sont elimines grace aux mesures suivantes. Un levier (2, 28) commande chaque interposeur (7, 14) pour le faire cooperer avec des moyens d'entrainement (20) le placant en position active. Une piece pivotante (23) en forme d'etrier presente deux bras, dont l'un constitue le levier (28) commandant un premier interposeur (14), et l'autre est susceptible d'etre entraine par le second interposeur (7), ce dernier etant de facon habituelle commande par un levier (2) associe a une touche du clavier.
