[origin: WO7900599A1] A setting device of line start in a typewriter of the printing head type carried by a carriage (1) comprises at least one marginal stop (13) forming stop for the carriage (1). This marginal stop (13) is fixed on a part (19) mounted sliding against the action of a spring (24). A release-pawl (5), cooperating with a toothed rack (10), is carried by the carriage (1). A universal bar (11) disengages the pawl (5) from the toothed rack (10) upon the return of the carriage (1) and releases this pawl (5) at the end of the stroke. In order to prevent the pawl (5) from falling into a shifted notch of the toothed rack (10), the device is further provided with means for locking the pawl (5) into a position clear from the rack (10) during the displacement of the sliding part (19).

Un dispositif de mise en place du debut de ligne dans une machine a ecrire du type a tete d'impression portee par un trainard (1) comprend au moins un margeur (13) formant butee pour le trainard (1). Ce margeur (13) est fixe sur une piece (19) montee coulissante contre l'action d'un ressort (24). Un cliquet d'echappement (5), cooperant avec une cremaillere (10), est porte par le trainard (1). Une barre universelle (11) degage le cliquet (5) de la cremaillere (10) lors du retour du trainard (1) et libere ce cliquet (5) en fin de course. Afin d'eviter que le cliquet (5) ne tombe dans un cran decale de la cremaillere (10), le dispositif est en outre muni de moyens de verrouillage du cliquet (5) en position degagee de la cremaillere (10) pendant le deplacement de la piece coulissante (19).
