[origin: US4346656A] In order to prevent waste and to improve the operating safety and easy operation of a device for making printed matter with changing prints or for adding further printing to a complete print, further printing units are provided associated with a printing unit having a common counterpressurer cylinder which is constantly connected with the main drive of the machine. The printing units are each provided with a normally passive acceleration motor and after completing the acceleration process are coupled (or decoupled) with the main drive of the machine by means of a coupling, having a movable coupling element which is operatively mounted independently of the print unit gear train and which is actuated by an adjustment device.

Um bei einer Vorrichtung zum Herstellung von Druckerzeugnissen mit wechselnden Eindrucken bzw. Aktualisierungen im Komplettdruck mit einer weiteren Druckeinheiten (1) zugeordneten Eindruckeinheit (3) den Anfall von Makulatur weitestgehend zu vermeiden und eine hohe Arbeitssicherheit und leichte Bedienbarkeit zu gewährleisten, sind die an den gemeinsamen, dauernd mit dem Maschinenhauptantrieb verbundenen Gegendruckzylinder (6) an- bzw. abstellbaren Druckwerke (4 bzw. 5) der Eindruckeinheit (3) mit jeweils einem eigenen, nach Beendigung des Beschleunigungsvorgangs passivierbaren Beschleunigungsmotor (9) versehen und über jeweils eine Eintourenkupplung (25, 26 bzw. 27,28) mit dem Maschinenhauptantrieb verbindbar, deren verstellbares Kupplungselement vom druckwerksseitigen Räderzug unabhängig ist und mittels einer mit Hilfe einer Synchronisiereinrichtung (10) aktivierbaren Stellvorrichtung (35 bzw. 39) betätigbar ist.
