[origin: US4296981A] A desk with a channel which extends directly below the table top on the backside thereof and which is removably guided in the desk. The channel has a U or L-shaped profile for receiving cables and wires therein. The outer leg of the profile is in alignment, in the retracted condition thereof, with the desk wall and has openings for facilitating an exiting of the cables and wires therethrough. At least on one side of the channel which extends parallel to the table top there is secured a further channel extending perpendicularly to the channel and which extends downwardly. This further channel together with the first channel is movable and can be moved into a recess in a base of the desk and has a connection to the horizontally extending channel.

Zur Führung von Leitungen in einem Schreibtisch ist in diesem ein unmittelbar unterhalb der Tischplatte (4) auf der Rückseite des Schreibtisches verlaufender, herausnehmbarer und im Schreibtisch geführter Kanal (7) angeordnet. Der äußere Schenkel fluchtet in eingeschobenen Zustand mit der Schreibtischwand und weist Öffnungen für den Durchlaß von Kabeln (32) auf. Um es zu ermöglichen, daß z.B. aus Bodensteckdosen kommende Leitungen in einfacher Weise und ohne großen Aufwand in diesen einlegbar sind, ist zumindest an eine Seite des parallel zur Tischplatte (4) verlaufenden Kanals (7) ein senkrecht zu diesem verlaufender und nach unten weisender weiterer Kanal (8, 9) befestigt, der zusammen mit dem ersten Kanal verschiebbar und in eine Ausnehmung der Seitenwange bzw. des Fußgestells (2, 3) des Schreibtisches einschiebbar ist und eine Verbindung zu dem horizontal verlaufenden Kanal (7) aufweist.
