Zum Kühlen eines Stranges (4) in einer Stranggiessanlage für Stahl mit einem, in geringem Abstand zur Strangoberfläche angebrachten elektromagnetischen Rührer (7) wird der Strang (4) vom Rührer (7) her mit einem Kühlmittel in Form von Sprühfächern (12) beaufschlagt.
