[origin: EP0010456A1] A device (10) that includes an ingress aperture (30) which provides improved transport of a drop of liquid, from an exterior surface (16) of the device to the device interior. Means are provided at the intersection of the aperture sidewall (32) and the exterior surface for urging a drop deposited thereon to move into contact with the aperture sidewall and thus into the aperture. In the disclosed embodiments such means are in the form of interior corners (34).
