Abstract (en)
This wall has the structure of a resonator. It consists of at least three panels of concrete, of terracotta, of asbestos cement, of plastic, or of any other material which is easy to maintain, the first of which is pierced with openings, the second and, if appropriate, the others, except for the last, are also pierced with openings, but of smaller dimensions, whereas the last is entirely solid, these panels having their lateral sides engaged in U-shaped vertical slides provided in successive pillars. These walls may in particular protect the people living alongside motorways from the noise produced by the traffic on the said motorways. <IMAGE>

- Ce mur absorbant les sons a une structure de résonateur. - Il est constitué d'au moins trois panneaux en béton, en terre cuite, en fibro-ciment, en matière plastique, ou en toute autre matière facile à entretenir, dont le premier est percé d'ouvertures, le second et éventuellement les autres, sauf le dernier, sont également percés d'ouvertures, mais de plus petites dimensions, tandis que le dernier est entièrement plein, ces panneaux ayant leurs côtés latéraux engagés dans des glissières verticales, en forme de U, prévues dans des piliers successifs. - Ces murs peuvent notamment protéger les riverains des autoroutes contre le bruit provoqué par la circulation sur lesdites autoroutes.
