1. An appliance for the domestic use of gas, of the type gastight under forced draught, including an exhaust fan (5) upstream of the duct (4) for exhaust of the burnt gases proceeding from a combustion chamber, and a gastight enclosure enveloping this chamber and the mechanisms and connected to the outside through a duct (8) for the supply of fresh air at the level of the exhaust duct, characterized by the fact that the gastight enclosure is in addition put into direct communication with the atmosphere of the environment through an aperture (15) provided in the wall of the enclosure, which is shut off by a flap valve (16) which is normally open in the event of stoppage of the appliance and which is reclosed automatically as soon as the appliance operates, in order to restore the latter to the normal conditions of operation of a gastight appliance.

L'invention se rapporte à un système de mise à l'atmosphère d'une enceinte étanche d'appareils de chauffage au gaz. L'enceinte étanche (7) est munie d'un orifice d'entrée d'air (15) pouvant être obturé par un clapet pivotant (16). Le clapet est normalement ouvert quand l'appareil ne fonctionne pas, mais il se referme automatiquement dès que l'appareil fonctionne pour replacer celui-ci dans les conditions normales de fonctionnement d'un appareil étanche. A cet effet, le mouvement du clapet est asservi au mouvement de levée de la membrane différentielle, commandant l'admission du gaz au brûleur. Application aux chauffe-eau et chauffe-bains à gaz du type étanche à tirage forcé, fonctionnant avec ou sans veilleuse permanente.
