1. Transporting and/or storage bin (1), more especially in stackable constructional forms, having a reinforcing and/or stacking rim (6) defining its top opening (5) and having pairs of hand-grips provided on each of two opposite transverse side walls (4), by which the bin (1) can be gripped from both the outside of the wall and the inside of the wall, the hand-grips (8, 9) of each one pair of grips being arranged one above the other beneath the reinforcing and/or stacking rim (6) and in each case one hand-grip being formed by a mussel-shaped recess (8) directed substantially transversely of the plane of the side wall, characterised in that the mussel-shaped recess (8) is provided on the inside of the wall and the hand-grip (9) capable of being gripped from outside the wall is made so as to be open downwardly or is formed by a downwardly directed flange or fillet (10).

Bei Transport- und/oder Lagerkästen (1) ist es häufig erwünscht, daß diese gruppenweise dicht nebeneinander aufgestellt und außerdem noch zu mehreren übereinander gestapelt werden, z.B. dann, wenn sie für den Versand in Gitterpaletten oder großen Kisten unterzubringen sind. Die an mindestens zwei sich gegenüberliegenden Seitenwänden (4) vorgesehenen Transport-Handhaben müssen dann sowohl von der Wand-Außenseite als auch von der Wand-Innenseite aus erfaßbar sein. Damit trotzdem das in den einzelnen Transport- und/oder Lagerkästen (1) zur Verfügung stehende Füllvolumen weitestgehend ausgenutzt werden kann, sind unterhalb des Versteifungs-und/oder Stapelrandes (6) einerseits von der Innenseite und andererseits von der Außenseite her im wesentlichen quer zu ihrer Ebene gerichtete Vertiefungen bzw. Absätze (2) angeordnet, welche jeweils zwei übereinander liegende, nach verschiedenen Seiten hin offene Griffmuscheln (8) und (9) bilden.
