Bei Schreib- oder ähnlichen Büromaschinen mit einem scheibenförmigen Typenträger ist eine Einrichtung zum Verbinden des Verhakens eines mittels Farbbandgabeln parallel zur Schreibebene geführten und in den Bereich der Abdruckstelle bringbaren Farbbandes mit dem scheibenförmigen Typenträger vorgesehen. Zwecks Verhinderung von Störungen beim Typenabdruck oder auch beim Korrekturvorgang ist ein dünner Schutzstreifen (35) unterhalb der Druckzeile zwischen dem scheibenförmigen Typenträger (5) und dem parallel zur Schreibkontrolle geführten Teil des Farbbandes (15) gespannt angeordnet. Der Schutzstreifen (35) weist außerdem eine Mittenmarkierung (61) und Zeilenmarkierungen (59) an dessen Oberkante (57) auf.
