A four-wheeled wheel-chair with two frame parts (53, 57) which are hinged to each other and are swivellable to a limited extent about the longitudinal axis of the wheel-chair, on one of which parts (57), connected to the seat plate, are mounted the two manually operated drive wheels (48, 49), while on the other part (53) are mounted the two runner wheels (46, 47), characterized in that the seat plate (30a) is made of flexible material and is rigidly connected at two corner zones to one frame part (53) and at two further corner zones to the other frame part (57) in such manner that the seat plate (30a) is supported at each of its corner zones by a leg (50, 51, 54, 55), one of the wheels (46, 47, 48, 49) being mounted on each leg.
