[origin: US4295825A] This invention concerns a system for the protection of the delivery end of a rotary kiln. This system is characterized by the fact that it consists of a refractory concrete ring covering the internal surface of the end of the kiln shell and the front surface of a flange attached to the outside of the end of the shell, the ring being fastened to the shell and the flange by anchorage units fixed on them. The invention can be used in the cement production and minerals processing industries.

Pour éviter que l'embouchure d'un four tubulaire rotatif soit endommagée par les produits chauds et abrasifs sortant du four on utilise des anneaux de protection généralement formés de segments métalliques. L'invention propose un dispositif plus simple et moins coûteux que les dispositifs connus. Le dispositif object de l'invention est caractérisé en ce qu'il est constitué par un anneau en béton réfractaire (36) qui recouvre la surface intérieure de l'extrémité de la virole (16) du four et la face avant d'une bride (26) fixée sur l'extrémité de la virole, à l'extérieur de celle-ci, cet anneau étant accroché à la virole et à la bride par des éléments d'ancrage (38) fixés sur celles-ci. L'invention peut être utilisée en cimenterie et dans l'industrie des minéraux.
