Abstract (en)
A gas-heated tunnel burner for raising the temperature in melting furnaces or crucibles contains a tubular burner housing (10) with a frustoconical part (16) which forms an exit opening (14). A gas supply pipe (20) with a choking outlet nozzle (26) is arranged coaxially in the burner housing. It has a radial flange (28) and, upstream of this, lateral gas exit openings (30). By means of the latter, a holding flame is produced. Air is supplied to the annular space (32) via a connection (34). In the frustoconical part (16), there is arranged a collar of helical guide plates (40) which together with a breakaway edge (44) promote the mixing of gas and air in the burner chamber (38) and thus create a short flame. <IMAGE>

Ein gasbeheizter Tunneibrenner zur antemperung von Schmelzöfen oder Schmelztiegeln enthält ein rohrförmiges Brennergehäuse (10) mit einem kegelstumpfförmigen Teil (16), der eine Austrittsöffnung (14) bildet. Ein Gaszufuhrrohr (20) mit einer drosselnden Auslassdüse (26) ist koaxial in dem Brennergehäuse angeordnet. Es weist einen Radialflansch (28) und stromauf von diesem seitliche Gasaustrittsöffnungen (30) auf. Hierdurch wird eine Halteflamme erzeugt. Luft wird über einen Anschluss (34) dem Ringraum (32) zugeführt. In dem kegelstumpfförmigen Teil (16) ist ein Kranz von wendelförmigen Leitblechen (40) angebracht, die zusammen mit einer Abreisskante (44) die Vermischung von Gas und Luft in der Brennkammer (38) fördern und so eine kurze Flamme bewirken.
