A drum (20) with a vertical axle is arranged within an upper housing component (16) which has an annular outlet (42) on the lower part of the drum circumference, below which annular guide devices (54) for the material stream are arranged and an annular air inlet opening (64) which circulates over the entire circumference is provided in the annular channel of the material stream. Connected to the inside of the annular channel guiding the material stream is an annular air extraction channel (68) and below this radial air ducting device is a discharge funnel (80) for the cleaned material. As a result, a satisfactory husking is achieved without damaging the grain. For an even better adaption to the respective type of cereal, an upwardly running annular channel (68) is connected to the radially inner side of the annular conveying channel opposite the annular air inlet (64), a discharge funnel (70) connecting inwardly to the upper side of the annular extraction channel (68), to which discharge funnel a discharge blower (72) is in turn connected, and above the annular air inlet (64) the annular material conveying channel being delimited on the outside by a cylindrical viewing window (78).

Eine Trommel (20) mit vertikaler Achse ist innerhalb eines oberen Gehäuseteils (16) angeordnet, das einen Ringauslaß (42) am unteren Teil des Trommelumfangs aufweist, unter dem ringförmige Leitvorrichtungen (64) für den Materialstrom angeordnet sind, und es ist in den Ringkanal des Materialstroms eine über den gesamten Umfang umlaufende ringförmige Lufteintrittsöffnung (64) vorgesehen. An der Innenseite des den Materialstrom leitenden Ringkanals ist ein ringförmiger Luftabsaugkanal (68) angeschlossen, und unter dieser radialen Luftführungsvorrichtung schließt ein Abgabetrichter (80) für das gereinigte Material. Dadurch wird ein einwandfreies Schälen ohne Beschädigung der Körner erreicht. Zu einer noch besseren Anpassung an die jeweilige Getreidesorte ist an der radial inneren Seite des ringförmigen Förderkanals gegenüber dem Ringlufteinlaß (64) ein nach oben verlaufender Ringkanal (68) angeschlossen, wobei an die Oberseite des ringförmigen Abzugskanals (68) nach innen ein Absaugtrichter (70) anschließt, an den wiederum ein Absauggebläse (72) angeschlossen ist und wobei über dem ringförmigen Lufteinlaß (64) der ringförmige Materialförderkanal außen von einem zylindrischen Sichtfenster (78) begrenzt ist.
