The process involves the preparation of modified, liquid or organic polyisocyanates by the free radical-initiated polymerisation of olefinically unsaturated monomers, the reaction medium used being a mixture of organic polyisocyanates containing from 1 to 25 equivalent- % of polyhydroxypolyethers in the molecular weight range from 300 to 10,000 and/or a mixture, produced from a mixture of this type, of urethane group-free organic polyisocyanates and NCO prepolymers containing urethane groups.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von modifizierten, flüssigen organischen Polyisocyanaten durch radikalisch initiierte Polymerisation olefinisch ungesättigter Monomerer, wobei man als Reaktionsmedium ein Gemisch aus organischen Polyisocyanaten mit 1 bis 25 Äquivalent-% an Polyhydroxypolyäthern des Molekulargewichtsbereichs 300 bis 10 000 und/oder ein aus einem derartigen Gemisch entstandenes Gemisch aus Urethangruppen-freien organischen Polyisocyanaten und Urethangruppen aufweisenden NCO-Präpolymeren verwendet, die nach diesem Verfahren erhältlichen Polyisocyanate, sowie ihre Verwendung als Aufbaukomponente bei der Herstellung von Polyurethankunststoffen.
