Abstract (en)
In a microwave heating apparatus for heating process material carried on a belt (21) in a microwave chamber (12), such as a continuous vacuum drying process, there are launched several directional beams (24, 25) of circularly polarized microwave radiation from different positions along the inside walls of the enclosure, the beams each being directed to illuminate the subject material and overlapping each other where suitable.
