[origin: US4289357A] The cutting head (6) is a hollow cutting head and rotatably supported on a carrier (11). Water is supplied to the nozzles of the cutting head (6) via a supply tube (29) rigidly connected to the carrier (11) in the axis of rotation and opening into a distribution chamber (30) within the cutting head (6). From this distribution chamber (30) the water is fed via passages into annular gaps (43, 46) extending in axial direction. Passages (47, 48) are opening into these annular gaps (43, 46) for supplying the water to the nozzles. A sealing (31) is only required where the water supply tube (29) is opening into the distributing chamber (30).

Der Schrämkopf (6) ist hohl ausgebildet und an eine Träger (11) rotierbar gelagert. Die Wasserzuführung zu den Düsen des Schrämkopfes (6) erfolgt über ein in der Drehachse angeordnetes am Träger (11) starr festgelegtes Zuführungsrohr (29) welches in einem Verteilraum (30) in Schrämkopf (6) mündet. Von diesem Verteilraum (30) ausgehend wird das Wasser in sich in axialer Richtung erstreckende Ringspalte (43, 46) über Bohrungen geleitet. In die Ringspalte (43, 46) münden Bohrungen (47, 48) über welche das Wasser den (7) Dusen Zugeführt wird. Eine Dichtung (31) ist lediglich an der Mundung des Wesserzuführungsrohres (29) zum Verteilraum (30) erforderlich.
