Foldable carton for the packaging of glass articles, such as, for example, drinking glasses, etc., which is formed from a folded shape made of cardboard or the like. The underlying object of the invention is to provide a foldable carton of the type mentioned above which is easy to manufacture and to handle and, furthermore, not only has a satisfactory appearance but also allows a good display of the packaged glass articles. This is achieved in that the shape has a panel (1) forming the base or the covering of the foldable carton, which panel has an essentially triangular shape and from whose sides (2) arms (3, 4, 5) project, at least one (4) of which is provided at its end facing away from the panel (1) with a tab (9) or the like, forming the base or the covering of the foldable carton, or with several tabs (6, 8) or the like, complementing each other to form the base or the covering. <IMAGE>

Faltschachtel für die Verpackung von Glasartikeln, wie z.B. Trinkgläsern usw., welche von einem gefalteten Zuschnitt aus Pappe od.dgl. gebildet ist. Der Erfindung liegt die Aufgabe zugrunde, eine Faltschachtel vorstehend genannter Art zu schaffen, welche in einfacher Weise herzustellen und zu handhaben ist und darüber hinaus nicht nur ein einwandfreies Aussehen besitzt, sondern auch eine gute Darbietung der verpackten Glasartikel ermöglicht. Dies wird dadurch erreicht, daß der Zuschnitt eine den Boden oder die Abdeckung der Faltchachtel bildende Platte (1) aufweist, welche eine im wesentlichen dreieckige Form besitzt und von deren Seiten (2) Arme (3,4,5) ausgehen, von denen mindestens einer (4) an seinem der Platte (1) abgewandten Ende mit einem den Boden oder die Abdeckung der Faltschachtel bildenden Lappen (9) od.dgl. oder aber mehrere, mit sich zu dem Boden oder der Abdeckung ergänzenden Lappen (6,8) od.dgl. versehen ist bzw. sind.
