Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0014871A1] 1. Fault current protection relay with a tripping mechanism which is coupled to a line protection switch, acts by means of a transmission member on the interlock of the line protection switch and switches this off on a fault current occurring, wherein the tripping mechanism displays two interlocking points (1, 2) standing under spring bias and responding one after the other in the case of tripping, characterized thereby, that a switch lever (6) retained by the second interlocking point (2) stands under the force influence of two springs (opening spring 9, restoring spring 10) operating in the same direction and one spring (restoring spring 10) thereof, when the switch lever (6) its unlocked, additionally brings about the entrainment of a pawl lever (3), which belongs to the first interlocking point (1) and in its turn is actuable within a free travel against the pivotal direction predetemined by the spring (restoring spring 10) by a tripping relay (arrow 21), which is acted on by the pawl lever (3) by reason of the oppositely directed pivotal movement initiated by the spring (restoring spring 10) after the unlocking of the tripping mechanism.
