[origin: FR2427942A1] A catamaran-type boat comprising two elongate floats (3) inter-connected by a beam structure (6) carrying a binnacle (22). The beam structure (6) is connected to each float (3) by a transverse articulation orientated perpendicularly to the longitudinal axes of these floats. Differential means are provided between the beam structure (6) and each float (3) to maintain said beam structure in a medium position relative to the floats. Said differential means may be of the hydraulic or mechanical type and is servo-connected to a gyroscope. The binacle (22) is mounted in the middle of the beam structure (6) and is hinged about an axis orientated according to the longitudinal axis (23) of the boat. Means, such as jack servo-connected to a gyroscope, are provided to maintain the binnacle in a horizontal position. A boat of this type has a good stability and is particularly appropriate for pleasure navigation, transport of passengers or as a service ship.

Bateau du type catamaran comportant deux flotteurs (3) allonges relies entre eux par un systeme de poutre (6) portant un habitacle (22). Le systeme de poutre (6) est relie a chaque flotteur (3) par une articulation transversale (7) orientee perpendiculairement a l'axe longitudinal de ces flotteurs. Des moyens constituant un differentiel sont prevus entre le systeme de poutre (6) et chaque flotteur (3) pour maintenir ce systeme de poutre dans une position moyenne par rapport aux flotteurs. Ce differentiel peut etre de type hydraulique ou mecanique et asservi a un gyroscope. L'habitacle (22) est monte au milieu du systeme de poutre (6) et est articule autour d'un axe oriente selon l'axe longitudinal (23) du bateau. Des moyens, tels qu'un verin asservi a un gyroscope, sont prevus pour maintenir l'habitacle dans une position horizontale. Un bateau de ce type, doue d'une bonne stabilite est utilisable notamment pour la plaisance, le transport de passagers ou comme navire de service.
