In a gas discharge surge voltage diverter with fail-safe behaviour, a combination of inner and outer short-circuits is proposed for optimising the short-circuit characteristic. This results in a safe short-circuit behaviour in the case of electrical and thermal overload. <IMAGE>

Bei einem Gasentladungs-Überspannungsableiter mit Fail-Safe-Verhalten wird zur Optimierung der Kurzschlußkennlinie eine Kombination aus innerem und äußerem Kurzschluß vorgeschlagen. Dadurch sicheres Kurzschlußverhalten bei elektrischer und thermischer Überlastung.
